The smartphone has controlled our lives. You can hardly a day goes without Facebook messages, write emails and favorite music from the mobile phones. Many smartphones, such as iPhone, HTC One, Samsung Galaxy S4, have already had better performance than many desktop PCs: quad-core processors, HD displays and up to two gigabytes of memory. And they must have power from the battery to make them work. Nowadays the mobile phone battery today has higher capacity, but the battery life is not longer than old mobile phone.
What a miserable experience when you are lost in a strange city, but the navigation does not work because the battery of smartphone runs out. Quickly call friends now! But that does not work either. It’s a nightmare. So how to save battery android?
To avoid such battery-frustration, we are here to give you 6 tips on how to extend battery life. We use Android smartphones as an example, but most tricks will also work with other operating systems.
1. Reduce display brightness
Settings> Display> Brightness
2. Adjust automatic sleep mode
Settings> Display> Screen timeout
3. Disable Bluetooth & Wi-Fi
Only activated when necessary – disable both when not in use of them helps save impressive battery power:
Settings> (Wireless & network)> WLAN / Bluetooth
4. Turn off unnecessary apps
Settings> Applications> Running services
5. Turn off GPS
If you are not planning to be navigated by Google Maps, you can simply disable GPS under
Settings> Location Services (Location & Security)
6. Manually synchronize
Apps that often retrieve data (sync) consume lots of battery. If possible, increase the polling intervals for automatic e-mails or Facebook messages. Or use the manual synchronization (press only when you “sync your computer” in the app, then the data will be retrieved). Both of these help to save battery life. The details can be found mostly in the respective app under “Settings / Settings”.
Recommended battery care practices
Recommendations for battery usage and storage are covered in the HP User Guides for each model.
